ADHD + AI = Superpowers

really.

Cross-posted from AI Marketing for Storytellers.

I gave a talk at a creativity conference today, and someone asked if AI would work for them if they had ADHD.

I sat and thought about it for a bit, and I realized that essentially being ADHD is my AI Superpower.

Hear me out —

So — I don’t doom scroll anymore, and I only check my email about once a day now.

Why?

Because I’m too busy using AI.

Currently I’ve got:

A Code instance working on my reader app perfecting sprite placements

A Code instance working on my onboarding flows for said app

A Code instance translating all the voice acting parts of my vertical drama’s first three eps into 28 langs

And Codex instance bossing around 4 lanes of image workers — and I just figured out how to do frame-by-frame pixel sprite animation (more on this on the call tomorrow, ha!!!) and doing plants for it —

(don’t ask, you’ll find out why soon enough)

And I’m kicking it on my spare laptop catching up on all nerd-ass emails I’m subscribed too.

Using AI means that I can finally hop around on all of the projects, all of the time, as much as my heart desires, and I’m not penalized for it.

I can knuckle down and make 40 attempts to code one thing while I hyperfocus, but then there’s other engines still working in the background — and the second I’m all, “eff this code,” I can hop over to one of them, seamlessly, and still keep making forward progress, without any downtime.

Yes, overall progress can feel more incremental — but also, a lot of time, if you’re doing sufficiently advanced AI stuff, you have to wait a long time in between responses so that you can get your code or your results, so why waste that time and not be working on something else?

As long as I’ve got tokens, the Publishing Empire can keep rolling.

Novae’s going to talk about their filmmaking app some more (they’ve been squashing bugs like whoa, and everyone who subscribes and comes is getting the app in beta!) and I’m going to show off how to automate making all sorts of social media with the new Chat GPT, and the webtoon of my vertical drama I made, plus how I animated pixel sprites (my own ridiculous app, which is a charming reading-based game) etc.

xo!
