Antigravity and Ire
I'm a little angry, here goes....
Cross-posted from AI Marketing for Storytellers.
I don’t actually have a background in computer shit.
But what I am really good at, is saving human lives.
Because I’ve been doing that for about 20 years now, and, people and computers (with AI) are more alike than you think.
It’s entirely possible that other ppl’ve already figured out this world frame shift/view thing before me (especially as it relates to AI) but I just had the thought today and I’m waiting for Antigravity to churn through some stuff, so I thought I’d share.
Basically — everything — like, literally, EVERYTHING, even saving humans in the ICU, can be boiled down to data and systems.
And that’s one of the reasons why AI in general, and AG in particular are so powerful.
Antigravity exists in the venn diagram overlap between data and systems.
If you have good enough data, you can understand any system.
If you have a good enough system, you can replicate any data.
Why is this person dying? Do we have the data? Can we get the data? How can we fix their system with the data?
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
AG parses data like a motherfucker and systemizes like whoa.
I set it loose in one of my folders that has all my videos in it for one of my series, and told it to go to town on parsing the data, with an eye towards Tiktok and Booktok uses.
So, it churned through 415 videos (yes. 415. Not a typo.) and hashed them into 1 second frames, annotated each frame by character and aesethetics. (Data.)
Then I told it to go off and research what made a good music video. (Systems.)
And when it was done with that, I told it, based on what it knew about what made a good music video, to create one for me out of all of my videos, from a Suno song.
So it did.
It’s not 100% perfect, but…it’s like 92% at the least. (AG, I should remind you, is, what…one month old? Ish? Barely? Earrrllly dayyyys.)
That’s a (IIRC) 3 minute song.
Do you know how hard/long that would’ve been to do by hand?
So just now, to make my point here for you, now, I asked it to do a re-cut, of just unicorns and couples:
It only pulled from the first 50 or so vids for speed’s sake, so there are many repeat videos here, but you’ll see it did PRECISELY what I asked it to — couples, and unicorns.
Which means it knows what I asked it — which means because AG can create its own systems, it ingested my data, and then created a system to pull them together in a music video format.
I hope you see where this is going.
Basically anything you can parse into data, AG can manipulate for you, and anything you need to understand the systems of, it can do that too. It’ll fuck up a few times along the way, because it doesn’t always precisely get what you want it to do or the best way to do things. (Also it likes to be ‘helpful!’ So you need to be very strict with it, lol.)
But if it can ingest the data — books, videos, music, api calls to 11labs for audio, what makes a book good, what makes a music video good, what makes a tiktok good — and put them together, better and better every day, into — more books, longer videos, perfect videos, videos with audio…
Like, we’re totally fuckin’ getting there.
Reallllly fuckin’ fast.
I’m in a cranky mood now and I’m just going to be ornery for the rest of this post, please pre-forgive me.
I got Milly’s ashes back today.
Y’all probably missed things because I went radio silent from stress for so long. Unless you read the forward to Guarded by the AI, or followed me on IG, you wouldn’t have known I had to put her to sleep the day that book came out, because that’s the way my work schedule and her declining health went down.
So today, after getting her ashes, I sobbed for about thirty minutes.
My baby girl’s gone and she’s not coming back.
And after that…I was just angry.
Irrationally, violently angry.
Because her death is laced into the release of that book and I know that if half the people (probably 75% of them) — of the self-righteous assholes who’ve spent the past 3 weeks, to three months, to almost three whole years now, trying to make me ‘feel bad’ about using the best/newest tech — if they had known that Milly was dying, and how much it helped me to use GPT while trying to manage that, and my MIL’s death, and my mom’s cancer scare — they would’ve been happy that she’d died.
(How do I know this? Come to my IG comment section sometime, heh, on my pro-AI posts, where people seem incapable of realizing that their Netflix data and Spotify data are not a magically protected class of data, but the same fucking thing as the data I use for AI, or the AI algos that support them finding me and yelling at me, but I digress.)
I’m mad y’all.
When I talked to my assorted parental beings about AG and my translation machine, I got mixed reviews, heh.
My mom, was all, “Oh Cassie,” because she doesn’t get the tech and doesn’t want to.
My stepdad thought it was cool, my FIL thought it was neat, but then my real dad (who has Many Problems, most of which come from him trying to deal with being potentially smarter than I am in a world that doesn’t really appreciate smart people who don’t have money to begin with, but I love him, I love all of them, my folks are all cool) — my real dad asked the most important question:
“How many people are there in India?”
And I smiled to myself in the car.
Because he gets it.
He totally fucking gets it.
Because how many people ARE there in India? And in China?
How many people are there in the world who haven’t had the chance to read my books, or watch my localized social media, that I’ll be making into perfect versions in their languages? Or that I’ll be able to send TV shows of my stuff too shortly? Edited previously to make sense in their local cultures?
How.
Many?
So I’ve been withdrawing from almost all of my previously occupied author spaces.
And most of social media.
First off, because this is totally scratching ALL of my brain itches right now — I had a batch run error with my first set of batches to Claude yesterday, and we gave Claude a whole 24 hrs (till the batches officially expired) before we diagnosed it — but now we’ve fixed things, and we’re running translations and the 5.2 audit and verification engines simultaneously on the returned batches. Then we’ll do the last two layers separately — I don’t wannt gum up the works too badly with this, my almost Cassie’s Entire Back Catalog practice run, heh. I want to watch my code run.
But I’ll tell you this — I’ve postponed everything else I thought I was going to be doing for the next eight weeks.
I’m canceling my kickstarter, pushing back Shadowshifted, probably going to be pushing back Hate Her’s release as well (from May to June) —
Because today I coded an AG installation that’ll compare and contrast my FB ads to my AMZ attribution links to my KDP data.
Tomorrow (while we finish off Polish) I’ll probably code up an entire social media creation machine — might as well, seeing as I’ve already gotten all my books into folders for ingestion into their assorted languages. I’ll tell AG to do systemic research on what makes for a good FB ad text and script over lay, same same for Booktok shit, then have it rip through literally ALL OF MY WORK and give me its answers.
It’ll probably be easy. (It’ll probably take under 3 hours, heh.)
And then I’ll create the AG instance that’ll pull all of that together with the folders we’ve got etc etc etc etc.
Do you see where I am going?
How many people are there in India?
I assume this is getting through to you, because you’re here, reading it, willingly.
But how long will it take for all the people who’ve made sport of yelling at me to get it?
Too long, I hope.
Long enough for me to have made a moat around myself that’s so inassailable it will be as though they have predeceased me, as their work falls off the map.
I’m really tired of watching people have short sighted conversations about shortsighted topics, about their ‘feelings about AI!’ and ‘AI books!’ and not realizing that there’s an entire fucking bullet train (piloted by me and people like me) coming down the track.
I WANT to teach people how to do the things I’m doing, so badly, I have never pulled up a ladder behind me in my life, and I LOVE to teach.
But I cannot give people eyes to see.
And I’m just really exhausted in general? Possibly because I’ve been through a lot lately, but also probably because I’ve been using up all my spare brain cycles trying to get three different AG installations trying to behave, simultaneously, heh, which is a level of purgatory only AI OGs can understand this point in time, lol.
But.
Here we are.
Okay. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. I’ll be sane tomorrow, hopefully a little less sad, and you know me, I’m gonna keep moving forward.
Nothing can stop me.
xoxo,
Cassie
PS: here’s a picture of Milly that I made right after she passed, I did a whole series of them, to remember her by
