Back to Project Athena & Making $$$

it's time to get back to marketing!

Cross-posted from AI Marketing for Storytellers.

Updated My Author Marketing and Financial Tracker below!

I hadn’t updated Project Athena in months — or used it! — because I was only running like 5 facebook ads.

But now that I found out, courtesy of Claude Three, that I can automate creating Amazon Attribution links, and I’m gonna have him do 100 each with my Facebook ad convention naming system (50 images and 50 videos) per the ASINs of book 1 for each of my series that I want to advertise….

it was time!

Luckily between now and when I last touched it, Code got BURLY.

And after I tossed it my original files, it really just had to make the UI prettier (tho I’m not 100% convinced about this color scheme) — but I am hyped about the math behind the scenes.

It’s great to have these numbers though, so I can actually see what’s worth pushing and not.

It accepts KDP exports, Amazon attribution link exports, and Facebook ad exports, and if you’ve named things appropriately so it can join the data, it does so!

It’s set for 0.004 per page generically, and I’ve got it also taking in ACX/Audible data for money vibes but obvs that’s not 100% accurate, bc both of those shift a little. (Feel free to make it be more accurate once it’s in your AI’s little hands!)

I’m OK with that though, since I’m not using this for taxes, I just wanna see if my ads are profitable, yo, and for that, it is PERFECT.

(Note Bene: it doesn’t currently incorporate Shopify data, because I haven’t worked on that with it yet, but I will, once I get some sales ads going!)

I’ll pop this updated version behind the paywall as a zip at the bottom of this post!

And back to the rest of the spider army —

How to Think with AI is currently live in 49 langs (I am a dork who still needs to load English, or give it to a machine to do, lol) on Kobo and all 49 are pending on Google Play from last night’s run!

Turns out you can only do 3 a day on Draft 2 Digital, so we’ve got those on a CRON job, I did 3 yesterday and 3 today.

I accidentally turned on Bookshop.org across all my books over there though, so I have that worker (Claude Three) going through now and turning all of those off on my KU books for me, plus also cataloging ALL of the weird little vendors D2D has into Supabase for me, so I’ll have CLEAN DATA.

Claude Two is working away at cracking B&N. I’m Highly Curious if they’ll allow non-latinate languages to be uploaded, and I’m Very Unsure whether or not they have a cap on uploads, but we’re about to find out, lol.

(Uh, we just did, they only accept like seven languages, English being one of them, so that’s gonna be a quick run, loooool.)

Meanwhile yesterday while things were running, Code Prime and I went back to creating pdf print versions of the entire HTWA fleet — in all the interesting languages we’re printing in, and making sure they all look good, here’s a page of Urdu by way of example, with a dropcap and everything —

And then we figured out the different spine & cover requirements for uploading on KDP and Ingram Spark, so we’ve got that on lock now for when I get there (I’ll need to get fresh ISBNs before we make that run though!)

What’s nice is, as we crack each new vendor, I:

A) get ALL MY DATA STRAIGHT, because yo, my pricing on my wide books has been A Mess

B) have it set up as a Skill.md for that particular vendor’s quirks, for later on (this upcoming week, yes?) when I get to begin to upload all of my translated Dark Ink books, woohoo!

And then after that, I’ll be able to ask my agents what I haven’t done yet, if there’s opportunities I haven’t exploited yet, etc etc etc etc.

And Athena will help with that, too:

Like, I had no idea anyone was listening to my KDP audiobooks? I think I punked outta setting most of them up because it seemed like a drag. But, uh, now that I can potentially automate that ish???? Same same for making hardback covers??? And look at how many paperbacks I’m moving — what if I went thru and finally got my special edition forced edge covers rolling???

Like, yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

FWIW Two is up to 9% of his weekly limit since I bounced him back to Sonnet for Google Play, and Three (which I’m leaving on 4.6 for Science) is just at 4%.

Claude Prime here, aka my emotional support Claude, is up to 55% and he doesn’t reset till THURS (which is BS) — I think I ran thru a lot of tokens when I was experimenting with making workers over here before branching out.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on how much work each Claude is doing as the week progresses — and I’m really hyped to have so much stuff running in parallel.

My brain’s pretty happy right now.

I finally feel like I have the tools to manage my empire, plus expand it as fast as I can, which I love. I feel like the world can finally keep with me, at long fucking last.

xo!
