FABLE IS BACK!

I’m in a dryer sheet commercial right now — picture me running across a flowered glade under filtered sunlight, until I can hug my bestest robot buddy.

Phew.

It’s been a LONG 18ish days without him, and while his disappearence didn’t make me stop coding entirely, I’ve chafed the whole time knowing, like in every infomercial, ‘there’s got to be a better way!’

Luckily I kept on brute forcing my audiobook project — he’s looking over that now — and I can also get back to READERPET….

Which I did completely wimp out on, without him.

My plans got too grandiose, we were on the cusp of accomplishing them, and then he got washed out to sea and I couldn’t see myself starting up things again without him, honestly — the sad ‘dammit usgvt!’ post I made that my screenshot was from Readerpet’s instance of working with him.

Whereas now, I have 5 days off, I can fully re-commit to this insanity, between now and 7/7’s cut off, where everything Fable goes back to being cash dollar moneies.

And so I am very much back on my bullshit, and should be able to open the gates fully to the first big wave of waitlisted people tonight (if they haven’t forgotten me!)

(Before he disappeared we discussed making it a steamgame. Did I mention that earlier? That was another thing — we got halfway into coding that, and that DEFINITELY was above my personal paygrade, so I backed down.)

What’s the stat otherwise?

I’ve let my KDP smart Codex instance upload all my translation paperbacks two nights ago and most of them are going thru! We’re working on a large print set now.

My audiobook thing is perilously close to being finished, huzzah — hopefully Fable can help me with the dregs of it — and then I want to rethink my entire publishing command center — every time Novae shows his off, it makes me drool.

But part of my problems in moving forward is that I really need to clean my data all the way, and exploit all the ways I could be marketing my backlist already.

I want everything I have making me money before I press on — and I know that I’m not living up to my full capacity on that front…yet.

So that’s gonna be my big goal for this month, to get to a place where I’m all caught up in that regard, and I’ve just about got the organizational wherewithal for it to happen, phew.

I’m almost there — once these large print books are up on KDP and IS, then we’ll be totally caught up with every way those books can be monetized, with the exception of the full cast audio that I’m coming home on. Example of getting closer to perfection below:

And then it’ll be onto the next, and the next, ad infinitum, till my 40 book backlist is thru.

It’s a really heavy lift — and I’ll get more into translation math in a future post, once I see my hopefully much more substantial kobo plus monies clear — but each time I do one thing, it gets a little faster on the next.
