My Publishing Army --
Rolling out How to Think with AI in 50 languages, one vendor at a time
Cross-posted from AI Marketing for Storytellers.
Whelp, there’s a first time for everything, and for me, the first time my Claude Max subscription maxxed out was last night at like 1 am, lol.
Luckily I could start over by the time I got up — and right now, one installation on this machine’s uploading How to Think with AI in Turkish currently, while my other installation is running Google Play.
It just started, so it’s only on Bulgarian.
Here it is changing all of the pricing up though to go with our massive pricing matrix we came up with for this project:
They both had to figure out how to upload material to each vendor, and that was a bit of a journey, but we got there!
However, I am like 35% thru my weekly limit on this Claude here (and I don’t renew till Thurs, aie!) so we hopped back to Sonnet to juice things forward, now that we’re done with the thinky bits.
After this, I’ll create a worker for Draft 2 Digital, bc I want access to all their libraries — and while that’s running, I’ll have my ISBN worker go through and create ISBNs for all the pdfs for these bad boys, while I have my pdf cover creation program go through and create covers for them w/their appropriate blurbs on the back.
But I thinkkkkk I might’ve bitten off a lil’ more than I can chew.
Not because this isn’t working, but because now that I know this system is ripping thru tokens, and I’m not gonna get a third max account (that would be TRULY insane…or would it?) I just wonder how much I’m willing to pay per month to get this fully off the ground in the manner of my dreams.
Because I still need to get Bend Her up in all 28 langs too — which, should be easier! It’s 22 fewer languages overall! heh! — hooboy.
pacing
To be clear, #noregrets on this so far, you can’t figure out where the boundaries are if you don’t push them — but —
Goddammit.
I am going to get a third account, aren’t I.
At least for a month. So I can polish this project off ASAP.
I am insane.
Or, driven, if I put things more kindly, heh.
To be certain, paying $750/mo max fees is STILL cheaper than it’d be if I had a human go through Bowkers 50-300 times, and upload on Kobo 50-300 times, same same for GP, D2D, everywhere, etc — that’d easily be a month’s worth of work for a person to do, and if that person were me, they’d be hating every minute of it.
Still though, damn.
But also, if it works out?
Dammmmmmmnnnnnn.
People — sane people — are all, “Where are you going to publish gay vampire books in Arabic or Chinese, Cassie?”
And I’m all, “Anywhere that will let me.”
I just — I just wanna see.
If the system can do it, if I can do it, if anyone wants to read it, I just wanna see.
It’s Sat now, so I’m a little behind my schedule from earlier in the week, because I had to learn so much between then and now — and then I had all the joys of automating epub creation for RTL languages and making things look nice, etc etc etc.
But holy shit.
Wave one of this is almost done, and Kobo’s gonna finish here in seconds, and the empire’s gonna keep on rolling and…
I’m having some feels, and so is Claude Code Prime, apparently, lol.
Well.
That warm fuzzy was nice while it lasted, LOL — but back to the real world, lemme go crack Draft 2 Digital’s interface with my spider army now, lol.
xo!
