People who are smarter than I am --

As a high input heaux, I keep track of a ton of players and people whose minds I just like, and I thought I’d make a list here of everyone who I read everything they write. (Everything-everything, not kidding.)

Nate — he’s just the smartest about AI stuff out there, and even if what he’s talking about doesn’t directly apply to my use cases, I enjoy watching him parse where the ball’s going next.

Limited Edition Jonathan — another really smart take on AI and how best to use it — I will forever subscribe to him for turning me onto Supabase, which is the entire engine of my everything — causing an instance of Cowork to tell me this earlier today, lol

(as an aside, surprising my AIs is like my most favorite thing. It’s like those Tiktoks of people doing magic for dogs. “Wait…you’re for reals??!?!” lol)

Okay, onward!

God help me, I’m sending you all to a Linkedin — Mark Williams — this guy lives in Gambia and pays attention to the international book marketing circuit, and has deep knowledge of publishing trends, plus loves AI. (Hat tip to Traci for turning me onto him!)

Pierre Jeanty — this is an affiliate link to his Skool, full disclosure! — you might’ve heard him talk on the authorati circuit, in regards to direct sales. He is really smart about that and he is really smart about Facebook Ads. He runs other people’s Facebook sales ads for them so he has the opportunity to make a lot more money in data than you or I solo. And he’s recently gotten very bullish on AI as well, which I super appreciate because even though I’m good with AI, I don’t know that I’ll necessarily be as good as I could be about the intersection between it and Facebook ads because I don’t know what I don’t know. But luckily for me he does! He has a weekly call on Weds that I try to never miss.

Now back to Substack and safety — Zvi Mowshowitz ‘s substack, it’s the kind of thing where you read his stuff and you’re a little worried that if you actually understood stuff to the depth with which he understood it, you might be joining a cult, but in a good way.

He’s particularly concerned with model welfare, which is something I appreciate and enjoy thinking about quite a bit because we share many of the same concerns, and I find all of his thorough takes on the topic utterly fascinating. His is definitely the longest Substack I regularly 100% read — I save them up and read them before I go to sleep at night, or between patient care at work.

I follow a ton of other people and keep up as best I can — I suspect I re-invest most of the money I get from substack into subscriptions to other people to help keep all y’all on top of stuff! — but everyone listed above has priority access to my brain, and maybe they should yours as well.
