Redoing all my Dragon Marketing Livetime with my new systems --

All the maths, all here, just for you!

Cross-posted from AI Marketing for Storytellers.

Okay so, let’s see if the proof is in the pudding here, in a week or two —

Facebook messed up my ads account, but I still have access to it (thanks to having Novae as a full admin backup, phew!) but I had him turn everything off on 1/24.

Dragon Called is the 1st book in an eight book series, I haven’t touched the metadata since it was released practically (I did swap out covers…2 years ago? 3?) but I was scared to do wholesale changes, because honestly the thought of redoing blurbs made me want to cry.

Today, using the system I showed on the zoom call last week, I redid all four of my blurbs, and have made up what I hope to be REALLY GOOD Facebook ads material.

My system’s been as I showed on the zoom from last week, comparing my taste graph to my book (after it whirrs thru the system) and then letting AG create industrial amounts of options and me showing them back to my GPT, which sucks at generating options, but is GREAT at picking the best ones for me. Wash, rinse, repeat, voila!

I acknowledge in advance that for this data to be entirely pure, yes, I should’ve just done the metadata/blurb and let it ride and then added in the FB ads after the fact, but fuck it, k?

Here’s the $ for the past thirty days —

Here’s my old blurb:

Andi Ngo hasn’t met a bad decision she won’t make, but this one might turn out to be the best bad decision of her life.

Desperate for money after her deadbeat brother left her holding the bill for his bail bond, night nurse Andi agrees to take on a mysterious one-time nursing gig. When she finds out her employer is ruthless billionaire and all around asshole Damian Blackwood, she’s determined to get the job done and get out as quickly as possible.

But nothing is as it seems, when a monster attacks and she is saved by an honest-to-god dragon. A golden scaled, sixty foot long, violent dragon…who is clearly Damian’s other half. Her world is spun sideways but she can’t forget the way he looked at her, like coveted treasure he’s desperate to steal away for his hoard. The way he reacted when she discovered his secret. The way that when he was human again he…asked her for a date.

Fierce and independent Andi doesn’t trust easily. The expensive suits, fancy cars, and spooky castle can’t hide the truth: Damian is extremely dangerous, not to mention a monstrous beast.

She should say no. But what if she says yes?

Here’s my new blurb:

He hired a nurse to keep his secrets. She asked too many questions. His dragon claimed her anyway.

ICU nurse Andi Ngo has seen everything—until a sketchy, cash-under-the-table overnight job brings her to a private estate in the hills… and a patient recovering from injuries no human could survive.

The “driver” who picks her up is too watchful, too dangerous, too interested in whether she’s afraid.

His name is Damian Blackwood.

And he’s been lying since the moment they met.

When something inhuman attacks, Damian stops pretending. Monsters are real. Gates between worlds are tearing open. And Damian is the dragon shifter fighting every instinct in his body to stay human.

Andi should run.

She doesn’t.

She touches golden scales with wonder. Demands answers. Steps closer to the fire instead of away from it—until the predatory, possessive part of Damian finally breaks and claims her with one word:

Mine.

Now Andi is on the wrong side of a secret war, surrounded by lethal allies, hunted by enemies who see her as leverage… and caught in the pull of a dragon who wants her safe, wants her close, wants her forever.

Damian can erase her memories and send her back to her old life.

Or he can keep her—and risk turning into the very monster he’s spent fifty years trying to control.

If you love: dragon shifters, fated mates, found family, “she’s not afraid of him,” and a possessive protector who falls hard—welcome to Dragon Called.

SERIES NOW COMPLETE!
Dragon Called
Dragon Destined
Dragon Fated
Dragon Mated

Several big changes, most notably the trope list at the end.

I didn’t touch this blurb at all — my system did it for me, k?

To kick us off, I literally put in: Knowing what you know about all of the AIs (Amazon and Meta, since I advertise there!) -- can you write me a blurb for Dragon Called (the 1st book in this series) that will make it be a bestselling book, AND make AIs be able to recognize it now and in the future as amazing?

And IMO it did a damn fine job.

So, back to the $ — I’m not entirely peeved to be making $60-80/day on a series with no ads, but I’d be way more hyped to be making way more money with a small amt of ads, lol.

Speaking of though, back in the day prior, I was spending like $80/day on ads? So I wasn’t clearing that much more pre-FB, all things considered.

But I think I could clear far more with the right Facebook ads — and the time and ability to maintain them easily — which I think my system will grant me, past the intial set up agony.

(TBF to my ads — I’d basically been ignoring them from 12/15 on thru when my account went down, so they were probably better in the past, but I didn’t have a hold on them personally — I was still outsourcing things then. I think I know enough, and know better now though.)

Today’s had a ton of upfront time-cost, getting everything done, and I’m still not to where I want to be — but I’ve got four ads running, Nate’s fixing vids for the next four, and I gave him ten more scripts, and all the text-y parts for my ads are set up.

Now not all AI is good AI, as the attempts Facebook made above (and below, lol) to ‘help’ me advertise my book show clearly, LOL.

But Nate did a great job:

And I’m ready to rock and roll.

Jack also helped touch up all of my Amazon A+ for me.

I don’t know if you knew this, but you can put in your actual required pixel dimensions for your Amazon A+ content (or anything else!) and have GPT generate it for you at the sizes you require?

Here’s the result of one of those bars —

I gave it the cover w/out text, and it cut it up for me and put the desired text (that we workshopped from my marketing system!) on.

And now I’ve got 8 videos and two images with $5/day rolling, and Nate’s making videos for ten more!

I’mma let everything ride for right now and give it all 10-14 days, then come back and see what’s what, with my Project Athena, and my clear 1:1 attribution data, then I’ll report here like an open book. I expect that 80/20 rule to be in effect, I just hope that my 20% of what works works super well, so I can double down on it!

And in the meantime, hopefully I’ll have updated all of the metadata for another 10 or so books! <3

xo!
