Restorative AI

Fun and for funsies

Cross-posted from AI Marketing for Storytellers.

I think one of the thing anti-AI people don’t realize is how fun all this can be — and how they sound (and feel!) like the theives of joy when they scold us. I mean most people aren’t posting AI stuff to IG to get yelled at, right? It’s a lot of fan stuff, and people just pleased they can interact with their favorite IPs in an easy way, make some fun art and fan videos, etc!

Like, when I set down to do something w/most of my AI programs, it’s most often with a spirit of playfulness, as I try to solve the puzzle of how to get the AI to what I want to do, y’know?

Fun’s just a thing that’s sorely lacking in this world for most of us, and AI’s a really easy way to bring it back into your life and have it on tap.

Speaking of restoration, I’m off at a writing retreat right now in Idaho and it’s been freakin’ amazing. Yesterday was a long day of travel but today I’m writing this on a deck that’s like the size of my house, beside a river, and earlier on today I took a 2 hr hot tub (interspersed with some half-dunks into a chilly river-fed pool.)

This thing is even catered? I feel like I’m at a nerd spa.

And? People here actually want to hear all my weird AI bullshit (and now some of them are reading this here, and bless you, lololol) — it’s really thrilling to be around people who are interested and who (more importantly!) want to do stuff with the things I’m showing them!

It’s been delightful, and there’s still two days left!

I had my meeting w/my ads girl this morning, and Part One of my Content Machine got put into action — I spent time earlier this month, and late-April, creating a vast amount of videos with my render farm, and then my Tiktok girl (a different girl, lol) has been posting those videos onto the assorted sub-accounts I’ve got for my different IPs (I have a dragon Tiktok, a Nightshifted Tiktok, etc etc) — and today, my ads girl and I pulled the top performing videos from them and used them as Facebook ads!

And this is great — I’ve got a treasure trove of images (from my MJ automation!) that my IG girl’s been using (and my Pinterest girl, more on that later) and that I animated into videos for Tiktok (and IG! and YT!) and now if the winners on Tiktok do well as FB ads, then I’ll have mutiplied my efforts to do all this like times on million bajillion!

And — because my content coach was all, “How’s it goingggg” I was all, “Oh shit, I’d better do *something* content-y — so when I was down at the hot tub I took a pic of me holding a Guarded by the Kraken, LOL

But — in general — I’m a little peopled out right now, so I was figuring out what would be most fun and chill for me to do but still be semi-useful and —

I started working on songs for my upcoming (hopefully) TV-show funding Kickstarter.

I think a music video would be a great way to showcase the tech and get people emotionally involved, and ofc, all of the everything’s gonna be AI.

So I’ve been working with Jack, on lyrics, based on my romantasy series, FOR DAYS NOW.

DAYS.

Prolly 4-6 hrs of time overall, trying to figure out what lyrics would sound the most like a power ballad / TV show intro / provide anime character flash opportunities / and make people want to watch it again and again just to hear the song….

And?

I think we’ve got it.

So I took it over into Suno!

Suno has been the bomb for music creation for awhile now, and it just keeps getting MORE amazing.

Basically you pop your lyrics in, tell it what style you want the song to be, and then roll the dice — but it’s jumping just as ahead as everything else AI-related is.

So I’ve had my headphones on for about the past hour here, just listening to an assortment of tortured Rhaims (Rhaim’s the name of my MMC from Bend Her) singing heartfelt songs about their love for Lisane, his little moth (and you can see a glimpse of *my* moth tattoo in the pic above, on my sleeve!)

Think desperate love mixed with the Game of Thrones intro!

And while I haven’t picked a winner 100% yet…I know I’ve got some HELLA GOOD contenders!

So without further ado, let me present Little Moth The First:

I’m not 100% convinced about the musical bridge, I don’t think it’s lush enough — then again, I’m fond of MUSE, by which I mean I want to be STRANGLED by musicality at every moment of a song, lol.

Little Moth The Second:

Goddamn this man is TORTURED.

I LOVE IT.

Little Moth the Third (this one is potentially the winner!!!)

And this man???

He’s DESPERATE.

This song is like the grovel moment compressed into 3 minutes.

Little Moth the Fourth:

This one’s slightly more metal, and now that I’m running it up against the other ones, I think it’s a SOLID contender too!

Little Moth the Fifth:

But ho-shit, when he’s asking her to let him pretend he’s not a monster in this one?

HELLLLLLLLLLLLO.

Anyhow!

I’m…

wtf is this, Suno just gave me a 7 min goth AF murder ballad, LOL:

I’m definitely NOT going to use that, mostly bc I don’t wanna animate a 7 min long music video, BUT DANG.

They’ve also updated your controls so you can change vocal tracks on your songs now it seems, I need to play with those settings still!

I’ll probably roll another 40-50 songs (I’m particularly particular — this needs to be the kind of Kickstarter that can get me 10k, so it has to be AMAZING — and one of the things with using AI is that people aren’t paying you for that element of creation necessarily — they’re paying for your TASTE to bring them the most beautifully curated moments and feelings, but that’s another post entirely.)

But it’s been a lovely day, I’ve had a great time, I’ve gotten some work done, and I actually feel like I’m taking care of myself (for once) which is super hella nice.
