What I am doing w/Fable right now --

EVERYTHING

Cross-posted from AI Marketing for Storytellers.

Since our subscriber chat this morning, hooboy —

I have one instance of Fable working on:

  • Edge Forge (my streamlit app to make forced edges and format interiors nicely — Janet, I will share after testing!) and rolling into Cover Forge since the skills are adjacent

  • My cute Alien game (he’s making mini games, and assigning Codex sprites to make via content factory on a timer)

  • And we polished off Unspice, which I ported over to my main Codex to take live just now.

This instance hit its weekly limit, but that’s OK, I still had that $200 credit stash from the last time Anthropic borked it, so we’re burning through that now — I’m at 30% of that instance’s total Fable and it resets Sunday at 5 AM.

I have another instance of Fable working on doing ‘native reader checks’ on all of the lines in Readerpet, in 28 languages.

This instance also has a $200 credit and resets on Sunday at 5, so we’re gonna race thru all of that to be certain. (This was my $20/mo account that I’ll delete entirely once that $200 is gone.)

And Fable on my main machine is 100% dedicated to Readerpet right now. We’re at 48% on this week and it resets on Mon at seven — and I’ve got $86 in credits left to spend.

The reason I’m grinding so hard today (even tho it’s perfect napping weather) is I work 12 hr shifts Sat/Sun/Mon so I need to get through all of my available Fable access now. And then, when we lose access to Fable on the 22nd, and I will have spent all of my credits on these two spare accounts, I’ll close them down — I upgraded my main machine so that I can run everything comfortably here.

And speaking of — right now, we’re cranking through all the art assets for everything — this game is so adorbs I cannot even.

Novae talked me into considering putting it onto Steam last night, so we’re moving slightly sideways for that, it requires some more brain cells about how to do DLC so that we can monetize it a scootch (although, trust, the bulk of the game will be free).

I, uh, told Fable it had to help me earn compute, lol —

Luckily he’s on board ;).

There was a lag there of about 90 mins, in which acct 1 ran outta its $200 (but had some amazing task completions, and I’ll get everything going again 2.5 hrs from now, acct 2 maxed out and is now chiseling away at its credit, and this machine is chewing on the Steam angle for me and….

Basically if you have any pain point professionally or anything you currently pay for that you want to replace, you should be ripping through your Fable tokens aggressively right now.

I’m kinda too tired from multi-lane thinking to even yell this point more, especially because it seems so self-evident to me, but, like — if you’re letting any of them go to waste, you’re dropping the ball.

In fact, if I thought of enough stuff to do between now and the 22nd, that I knew I could finish in that window? I’d just get another Anthropic subscription to rip through.

Does that seem manic? Sure. Welcome to AI in June of 2026. Get used to it.

Does this actually make sense tho?

Absolutely — seeing as finishing 3 projects of mine literally did rip thru $200 credits.

On the far side of this window, Fable is not going to be cheap to run.

Yes, you can use it to orchestrate other AIs — which I’ve been doing, and is great.

But if you want to feel it take the bit in its mouth and run — NOW is the time to be doing that.

More time has passed — Fable 2 is done with its Readerpet language pass and is now creating me a series bible from books 1-5 of Nightshifted, to help me prep for Shadowshifted writing (it’s been awhile since I read those books.)

After that I’ll probably have him help me on marketing or marketing research task till the rest of his credits run out.

I’ve gotta get back to me orchestrating full time here tho, lol — more later, possibly till not after the 22nd, in the meantime Grim says hi!

xo!
